〔即時新聞／綜合報導〕美國F-15E「打擊鷹」戰鬥機已成功測試最新的B61-12延壽型戰術核彈，成為首架兼容新核彈的戰機。

根據《國防新聞》報導，美國專門研發核武非核部分的桑迪亞國家實驗室（Sandia）表示，3月時，F-15E在內華達州的托諾帕試驗場進行了2次測試，一次大約在304.8公尺的高空，以接近音速的速度釋放模擬彈，另一次則在大約7.62公里的高空進行，2次測試均成功達成預定目標。

B61-12將取代舊式的B61-3、4、7和10型戰術核彈，預計2020年服役。核彈頭由美國國家核安全管理局（NNSA）開發和生產，新的尾部套件則由國防部研發。B61-12預計搭配美軍的F-15、F-16戰鬥機和B-2轟炸機，以及北約的飛機，而最先進的F-35戰鬥機有望在10年內取得B61-12的武器認證。

NNSA首席助理副局長紐曼（Ty Neuman）表示，這些測試的成功是實現全速量產，也是F-15E搭配B61-12形成初始作戰能力的重要里程碑。一旦交付，這項能力將鞏固國家的威懾力，並強化美國與北約的夥伴關係。

It can be fired at the target in either ballistic gravity or guided drop modes.

The new tail kit guidance assembly combines new guided freefall capability with the existing ballistic (unguided) delivery capability of the B61 bomb.

The Air Force is retiring 17 of its oldest B-1s, which officials say are straining the fleet as maintainers exhaust themselves trying to keep the airframes ready to fly.

“We flew the B-1s very hard in the [U.S. Central Command area of responsibility], and that’s what’s caused some of the challenge they’ve run into. So part of the discussion here is do you put a bunch of money in to preserve that at the expense of some other things you’re going to be able to do to give you other capability?” Pacific Air Forces commander Gen. Charles Brown told Defense News at Singapore Airshow on Feb. 10.
