Pilot safe after Mirage 2000 crashes into sea
The Hellenic Air Force says a pilot is safe after a Mirage 2000 fighter jet crashed in the Sporades island group at 12.18 p.m. on Monday.
Russia Black Sea air crash: Pilot error blamed
Russian investigators say the December crash of a Tu-154 airliner in the Black Sea, which killed 92 people, was most likely a case of pilot error.
The military flight was on its way to Syria, carrying members of the Alexandrov music ensemble, when it plunged into the sea on 25 December.
Analysis of the flight data suggests the pilot lost his bearings and ignored his instruments, believing that the jet was climbing too sharply.

Sukhoi-30 crash: Mortal remains of Squadron Leader Pankaj cremated
TEZPUR: The mortal remains of Squadron Leader D Pankaj, one of the two pilots of the Sukhoi jet that had crashed on May 23, was cremated here today.
The mortal remains of Flight Lieutenant S Achudev, who was the other pilot killed in the crash, were sent to his native place in Kerala, a Defence spokesman said.
IAF pilot moves SC against stay on compensation order
On a plea of the government and HAL, the apex court had last month stayed the May 2 order of the Delhi High Court granting compensation to Kaila for being exposed to unreasonable risk.
The High Court had asked the government and HAL to jointly pay the amount.
The incident dates back to January 4, 2005, when Kaila who was posted as Squadron Leader at Rajasthan’s Nal air base was on a routine exercise with three other aircraft.
Minutes after take-off, Kaila experienced a drift to the left only to discover a fire at the rear end of his plane, according to his petition.
Cybersleuths Say Convoy Movements Show Link To MH17 Plane Crash
A team of open-source researchers investigating the crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 has published reports linking the movements of Russian military equipment to the plane’s downing.
The reports, released on June 5 by Bellingcat, track the locations of vehicles including the Buk missile launcher that the British-based research group says was involved in the July 2014 downing of MH17.
